Itinerary
Day 1: San José , Costa Rica
Arrival at the Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO). A Swiss Travel representative will meet and greet you upon arrival and will provide you with all the necessary documentation that you will need during your vacation, such as day by day itinerary, contact information and phone numbers. Then, you will be transferred to Grano de Oro hotel in San José, which is approximately 20 minutes away -driving distance-. Considered a true oasis, right in the heart of the city, Hotel Grano de Oro still retains its tropical Victorian style, with small sources of water, Costa Rican art pieces, beautiful gardens with tropical flowers and best of all, his warmth service, which will make you feel, a hospitality experience since your arrival.
Day 2: Pacuare River, Costa Rica
Early in the morning, you will be driven to the Pacuare River for a day of adventure and adrenaline. A professional guides and the right equipment will be waiting upon your arrival to the river; after some safety instructions, you will start on this incredible rafting journey. In the water, you will experience the exhilaration of riding the waves on this wild and scenic river, which passes through scenic canyons where crystal clear waterfalls plummet down into the rapidly coursing river below. Tall trees and dense green vegetation come right down to the water’s edge. The thick undergrowth of this protected area provides shelter for a variety tropical animals and birds, including some endangered species. When you arrive at the Pacuare Lodge, you will find a unique jungle oasis nestled in a most remarkable setting. Modern wooden bungalows with thatched palm roofs are spaced out beneath the trees, providing both privacy and serenity. The two-story main lodge has breezy dining facilities on the first floor, and relaxing chairs in the open-air second floor lounge. After a hearty lunch, you will have the rest of the afternoon at leisure to relax or enjoy the optional activities.
Day 3: Pacuare River, Costa Rica
Day at leisure to enjoy the scenic beauty of the natural surrounds of the Pacuare River and the optional activities offered at the lodge. Thanks to its proximity to the Caribbean lowlands and the high annual rainfall, this area offers very complex life systems and exotics, formed by the extraordinary abundance of the rainforests and its exuberant vegetation which provides protection for jaguars, ocelots, monkeys, sloths and numerous species of birds and plants.
Day 4: Pérez Zeledón, Costa Rica
In the morning, you will be awaken to a harmonious melody created by the sound of the river rushing by and the sweet songs of the tropical birds from the thick of the forest. After a delicious buffet breakfast, you will launch the rafts again for the second day of the river expedition. Rafting becomes even more thrilling as you begin to use the skills and experience gained the day before. You may stop to explore side streams that lead to striking waterfalls and pools with a natural waterslide that tempts you to jump right in. Lunch will be served along the river, and when reaching the take out, you can change into dry clothes and transfer to Perez Zeledón mountains where you will stay for the next three nights at Alta Gracia Boutique Hacienda, located over 7,000 ft. just surrounding Chirripo which is the highest mountain in the country. This paradisiacal hotel will offer you an unforgettable experience
Day 5: Pérez Zeledón, Costa Rica
Days 5 and 6 at your leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities or take an optional tour in the property as horseback riding, mountain bike, or some cultural activities. (Extra cost)

Day 7: Manuel Antonio , Costa Rica
Today you will continue through Pacific Coast to Manuel Antonio where one of the area’s main attractions is Manuel Antonio National Park, which is one of the icons of ecotourism in our country, offering enchanting white-sand beaches ideal for swimming, and tropical rainforest forest full of with wildlife, there you can watch for monkeys and iguanas. The immense variety of things to do and places to visit in one single day in the area will definitely add all the value to your experience in this blessed land in a lush tropical place. You will be staying the next three nights at Parador Resort & Spa hotel.
Day 8: Manuel Antonio , Costa Rica
These days 8 and 9 will have the day by your own to explore the area of Manuel Antonio and visit the beach, enjoy the sun or just walk around. Manuel Antonio and Quepos (local town) offer you an endless variety of one day tours.
Day 9: Manuel Antonio , Costa Rica

Day 10: Naranjo, Costa Rica
Today you will leave Manuel Antonio area to continue to Naranjo town where Chayote Lodge is located. Here you will stay for one night in a hotel with lovely architectural highlights to be his tribute a coffee stores that characterize this coffee region.
Day 11: SJO International Airport, Costa Rica
According with your international flight schedule, we will provide you with the transfer to Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) where you will board your flight back home.
